Serrated face hex lock nuts are easy to install because they spin on freely until they contact the surface they will lock against. The locking action is so effective that up to 30% more torque is needed to remove this part than is needed to install it. It can be used up to 15 times without any appreciable loss of locking effectiveness. It is serrated on both sides to eliminate selective orientation, saving valuable installation time.
